Read for pleasure and remember the prompt for Wednesday is: You just finished a unit on drama where you had to become a character in a play. You were asked to play that character in a scene with several other students. Reflect on the process that you went through in order to prepare for the role. Did you memorize your lines? Did you feel that everyone was doing their best to prepare for the performance? Evaluate your own performance and be candid and self-reflective in your composition. *This is your last piece where you can give voice to your thoughts and ideas freely. It will not count against you in any way. Thank you, Section I for the video and for that "touching" song led by Alexander that I can't seem to get out of my head now. I apologize to you sensitive types who really didn't get my eccentric sense of humor all year long. Normal isn't easy for me - I basically can't do normal on any level. Know this - if you felt picked on it's only because I didn't want to see you fail. I love you guys and I will miss you - even you, Theo. We are almost done, beauties! It has been very entertaining - sort of like torture, but much more painful. Just kidding - some of you have managed to act, really and truly act! Read for fun and enjoy the fruit of your hard work. You are all amazing - except Theo. Gregory Peck and Mary Badham on the set reading a script. Weebly was down yesterday. Please practice your lines and be ready to perform on whichever day you are assigned. Break a leg, beauties!
Rehearse your lines for the Romeo and Juliet performances - they begin next week, beauties.
Write: Please turn in your final drafts of the compare and contrast essays and make sure they are cited correctly or I will not grade it - you can submit via email if you cannot print, but I will be sending you your results via email as well. [email protected] Please continue rehearsing your lines. You all looked tooooo happy to be in any way productive in class this morning. Just kidding!
Please submit your final revision of the thematic essays to turnitin. Read your scenes from your play and make sure you have your script or access to the play for tomorrow's rehearsal.
Write: Please post your revisions on turnitin.com once you have completed the essays. Read Act II of Romeo and Juliet, practice the lines from your scene. Complete the Shakepearean language handout - make a note of the different connotations for the words in Shakespeare's plays.
Write: Work on your compare and contrast essays and hand them in as soon as they are completed. Make sure you are citing everything properly. |
